The aim of the course of setting gemstones under a microscope is to master the technique of placing stones very precisely in a given detail. Thanks to the high magnification and the use of professional tools, we learn to set stones evenly and precisely with a size of 0.5 mm. I invite you to participate in a stationary course in my goldsmith’s workshop in Katowice. We train only individually!
Course description
During the course you will learn:
Stones setting with the Micro Pave method
The Micro Pave method is one of the most precise and aesthetic stone setting techniques used in exclusive jewelry. During the course, participants will learn the principles of creating regular rows of microscopic settings that guarantee perfect alignment and stability of the stones. The most important aspects are discussed – from methods of stringing and surface preparation to techniques for micro-engraving and setting stones in a tight grid.
Work and handling of tools used in setting stones under the microscope
This module introduces students to the world of specialized goldsmithing tools used in microscopic stone setting. Participants learn how to correctly select, attach, and adjust tools such as punches, ball punches, stabilizing systems, and various types of vices. The principles of ergonomic work are also discussed – so that the work is not only precise, but also comfortable and safe for the hands and eyes.
Preparation and creation of tools for setting stones
Professional stone setting requires not only skill, but also properly prepared tools. In this module, participants will learn the principles of personalization and creation of auxiliary tools tailored to individual needs and the type of jewelry being made. Techniques for sharpening, profiling, and polishing working tips, including punches and cutters, are discussed in order to achieve the perfect shape for a given setting.
Working effectively with a microscope
Working under a microscope is the foundation of modern, advanced stone setting. In this part of the course, participants gain practical knowledge on how to correctly set up optics, lighting, and stabilize the workstation. The principles of ergonomic body positioning are discussed, allowing for precise work even during long hours of tasks.
Applications of advanced goldsmith tools such as Art Grawer, Grawer Max
In the module devoted to modern tools, students learn about the capabilities of devices such as Art Grawer and Grawer Max, which are revolutionizing precision jewelry work. The training covers both the configuration of these devices and the performance of advanced engraving, texturing, and setting preparation techniques.

My name is Krzysztof Brzuchowski
I started my adventure with goldsmithing exactly 26 years ago. Gaining more professional experience along the way, I reached a master’s title in the profession of a goldsmith-jeweler. I gained most of my experience under the watchful eye of one of the most famous goldsmiths in Silesia. I also collaborated with a large group of other goldsmiths, taking advantage of the mutual exchange of experiences.
Setting gemstones is my passion. I completed a diamond setting course under a microscope, organized by world-famous diamond setting masters at Diaset B.V.

The course on setting gemstones takes place in our studio in Katowice, Hetmańska 20 Street, Poland. The course lasts 5 working days, 8 hours a day (9-17). It is also possible to take the course on a weekend basis.
